I've been wondering, when you comment on someone's piece, do you like it when they reply? I try to acknowledge every message I get, but sometimes all I can say in reply is 'thank you' Doesn't it get irritating when you get a message box full of thank yous?
On a different note, I still owe few 'freebie' sketches that I promised, so if you get a note from me in the near future with a link to the drawing that's why (I think I have two left at this point, but I'll have to double check) This ties back to long ago when I asked for cooking recipes.
Also I've been reconsidering livestreaming recently, since it's generally rather stressful for me to do. Would you guys be really disappointed if I stopped?

Changes
I have moved from IL to FL at the end of last year, and it's been a bit of a transition! I adore the plants and nature here, and how close we are to the ocean. (I have collected pounds of seashells during the first months here :D ) That being said, there was a very long time of transition between we first decided to move, and our family finally being here. I always realized that moves were stressful (we have done this many times before) but I think I forgot how long it takes after the move to settle back and to start feeling at home. I have a lovely room for an art studio now, with a beautiful tree outside, and I thought that as soon as I get that set up the artwork would magically pour out of me! I think though, that somehow I wasn't emotionally ready yet, and having this perfect space for art, but feeling useless when it came to creating just made me feel super guilty. At any rate, I feel like I'm getting back into the swing of things! Also, I realized I have a backlog of
Big Sale on my Website
Does anyone actually read journals over here? Or do you just look at art :D?
Regardless, I thought I might share with you that I have a big sale on my website. I have uploaded a whole lot of prints, and originals. I even have a raffle for an original painting, for anybody who purchases anything at all by May 1st!

I'm still alive, but I post mostly on instagram :D
It's been so long since I've posted here! Do you still remember who I am? Do you like the work that I make now as opposed to the type of art I used to make :D? (I think it's been 7 years since last time I made a digital piece!) I will try to post a little bit more often, but if you still remember me, and you'd like to follow my most recent art, then find me on instagram! https://www.instagram.com/aniamohrbacher/?hl=en
Gen Con
I will be at Gen Con this weekend with my tiny paintings, prints, coloring books, and greeting cards for sale! If you're there please stop by and say hi :) I don't do many conventions anymore so I'm pretty excited about this one!

I personally think that if someone were to just say "Thank you" especially if I had only said something like, "You have a great gallery~!" then I take that as them being kind enough to respond and let me know that they appreciate my words and took the time to acknowledge them. The only time I am slightly frustrated with just a "Thank you" is if I had taken the time to write why I liked that particular piece so much that I had went into to detail to let them know that their effort and time has been noticed and awed me enough to think, "Now here is a spectacular piece of work." I can understand if artists are busy, and if it takes them a really long time to reply, but if it has been more than a year and I see that they only reply to people they find interesting, then I don't even bother with commenting any longer. But what frustrates me even more (and this has only happened once to me) is if an artists asks for opinions and suggestions, and you go in depth and take a lot of time to comment, and they don't even bother saying anything. Hell, a response such as, "Thanks but no thanks" or "You have too much time on your hands" would be nice because they did get what they asked for.
If you were to just say "Thank you" at the end of your journal to all the small comment's, then that works fine as well, especially if you are busy. Honestly, what ever you choose to do will be fine, because all people want to know is that they are not being ignored, and by you asking, "...when you comment on someone's piece, do you like it when they reply?" shows you care and already take others into consideration, which should be more than enough for anyone.
On the live-stream matter, I pop in and out to see how your work is coming along if I can because it is always great to see your process. But if you are ever too swamped, think of yourself and either post on you-tube or stop all together. What matters is what you want and if doing these things benefit you, because if they don't then what is the point?
I hope this helps~!
