This is a piece commissioned by . He didn't commission me for a specific image, but wanted me to do what I normally do when I draw or paint. I knew that he likes narwhals, so this idea came to my mind, and here's the result!
Thank you, it means a lot to me to know you like the image so much ! I won't be open for commissions for a while I'm afraid. I have a lot of freelance to do this month, and there are some wedding related things that need to be taken care of still. Perhaps next month?
How are you doing at any rate, did you guys move yet? And if so, how is the new job? Pete mentioned talking to you on Skype but I don't remember the details of the conversation. Either way, I hope everything is going well for you
We arrived in Kirkland on December 9th and our stuff arrived December 13th. My first day was the 15th, and then the snowstorms came! I only got to work about a week and then the snow made getting around the city impossible for over a week. We were on break until tomorrow, so at least I get to go back and start actually working! It's off to a pretty good start over all
I just read your journal, and that move of yours sounds really crazy! We're back in Atlanta after holidays in IL and I have to admit that in the winter I certainly enjoy this climate. Best of luck to both of you
I just love how you handle watercolors... this looks really delicate, the narwal is pretty, the hair of the mermaid is adorable and the whole composition looks extremely peaceful.... I like it so much!
This one was mixed media actually, so although the under painting was done with watercolors there's a lot of color pencil on top I'm glad you like how it turned out in the whole, thank you for the comment!
