I have moved from IL to FL at the end of last year, and it's been a bit of a transition! I adore the plants and nature here, and how close we are to the ocean. (I have collected pounds of seashells during the first months here :D ) That being said, there was a very long time of transition between we first decided to move, and our family finally being here. I always realized that moves were stressful (we have done this many times before) but I think I forgot how long it takes after the move to settle back and to start feeling at home. I have a lovely room for an art studio now, with a beautiful tree outside, and I thought that as soon as I get that set up the artwork would magically pour out of me! I think though, that somehow I wasn't emotionally ready yet, and having this perfect space for art, but feeling useless when it came to creating just made me feel super guilty. Does anyone actually read journals over here? Or do you just look at art :D?
